It has been one of those weekends.
Nothing went as planned,
(hubby didn't get home until well past noon on Saturday,
screwing up three Saturday plans)
tears were shed,
(by me, and mostly out of being overwhelmed by life right now)
exhaustion was endured.
So what do I do when I want to avoid actual work and need to calm down?
CRAFTS!
Yesterday, while Alex and I were out running a bajillion errands
we stopped in Hobby Lobby (instant mood booster) and Home Depot (unchartered territory for me)
because I had a craft in mind and needed supplies.
The origins of this craft came from this blog here,
which was inspired by this piece of jewelry:
Original Inspiration by Philip Crangi |
This is really a simple project.
All you need is:
3 strands of yarn/cord/twine
18 small hex nuts
scissors
This is what you do:
Simply gather the three strands and tie a knot at the top.
Start braiding.
When you want to add the hex nuts, just start braiding them in.
It is super easy and I LOVE the way they turned out.
I am still working on fastening them,
let me know if you have any suggestions for clasps and what not.
Original tutorial found here.

I wish I was as productive as you when I had a bad day. I usually watch a movie and eat lots of sweets! Your bracelets look super cute!
