Weekend Highlights

This past weekend was filled with quite some fun!

Friday night we went downtown to the Scholastic Gold Key exhibit
Besides showcasing the students' Gold Key work,
the museum also had a fabulous exhibit called, Into the Mix.
The show featured 10 contemporary Caribbean artists.
Together they presented a "conversation" about
the complexities of modern cultural stereotyping.
One of these artists just so happened to be
a painting professor at my Alma Mater.

Some of the other Gold Key winners that knocked my socks off...

During the day, Saturday was filled with lots of errands and administrative tasks.
Saturday evening we went to dinner at Mojito's with our dear friends,
Dr. Kenny B. & his lovely med-school-student girlfriend, Lizzie.
{It is crazy to think of both of them being doctors -- talk about a power couple!}
We had delish tapas and the boys enjoyed a spicy honey shot.
{This is not on the drinks menu. --
This was a double-dog-dare to each other with actual spicy honey. Oh boys!}

Later in the night we drank some wine with our sweet neighbor friends.

Sunday we went to Target bright and early
only to be disappointed by Wu's collection.
Did anyone else share this disappointment?

Obviously we watched the Superbowl Sunday evening
but {also obviously if you know me in the slightest} we only watched until the halftime show.
LOVE MADONNA!
We all made Latin themed food for the night.
Alex made slam-dunk {or should I say "touch-down"} guacamole
and I made Mexican cinnamon sugar cookies.

Hope you had the loveliest of weekends yourself!
