Artist Alert

Katie Miller is quite the phenomenon.
Not only is she an exquisitely talented painter but
she is also among the small group of women diagnosed with autism.
As a teacher of several autistic students,
stumbling upon her art in a Marie Claire article warmed my heart.
The 27-year-old artist, based in Maryland,
has always had a fascination with painting newborns.
Miller earned her BA and MFA from Maryland Institute College of Art
where she has expanded on that obsession with infants
and turned her paintings into quite the impressive collection.
Baby, Baby, Baby
Children Watching TV
Girl with a Peach
Portrait of Duke as the Pacifier Punk
Young Bling Cole with a Merry Canary
