Today I am 20 weeks pregnant!
WOO HOO!
They say this is the half-way point
but I know plenty of women who have gone well past their due dates,
so this is the half-way point-ish.
I have found it SUPER helpful to read other bloggers
who have done a week-by-week update of their pregnancy.
Since this is my first time at this shindig {and I have an anxious heart},
I have been worrying that just about everything I am experiencing
is abnormal or dangerous {poor Alex}.
I decided to update you all on how I am doing this week
and hope it helps any other 20-weekers out there.
Weight gain? {embarrassingly} 16 pounds -- I am going to be a MONSTER by the end of this thing!
Maternity clothes? Oh yes! I am sure I will be tired of them by the end but right now I am
LUH-HUH-VING the stretchy pants.
Stretch marks? Not yet & praying it stays that way.
Sleep? This has been the hardest part of my pregnancy. I just can't seem to shake the fatigue. Some days are better than others but I could sleep anywhere at any time. After dinner I stand NO CHANCE -- often, I fall asleep on the couch after taking my last bite.
Best moment this week? I am still on a high from finding out it's a girl. That was just a week ago today, so I think I can count it.
Movement? Barely. I feel little flutters every now and then but nothing major. Honestly, sometimes I am not sure if I am feeling her or if it's gas... ;) At the ultrasound last week, my doctor told me I have an accessory placental lobe which will probably prevent me from feeling her too much at this point. In the next couple of weeks though, I should be feeling her much more ... and I CAN'T wait for that!
Food cravings? Anything salty! Potato chips have become my best friend.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Not food. I have been very fortunate in that department. However, my sniffer is picking up on smells like nobody's business. If there is a foul smell, I pretty much can't handle it.
Wedding rings on or off? On but by the end of the day they are tight. I am assuming it is all that salt I am eating.
Happy or Moody most of the time? This week HAPPY for the most part, with a few emotional days. Looking forward to? Decorating the nursery! We have kept the walls the same grey as the rest of the house but I have decided the main colors will be peaches and corals.
