We have decided to name our little girl Greta Grace.

I have always loved this name

and husband was sweet enough to go along with it.

{He was hesitant at first due to a poor prior experience with a Greta in high school

But then we met an adorable girl by the name of Greta at church and his heart caved.}

GG is completely appropriate for our surprise little nugget because

she has definitely been generously given to us by the Lord in His grace.

Depending on which baby website I used as a reference,

Greta was translated in two different ways, but both apply.

According to BabyZone.com,

Greta  in German, Scandinavian, and Swedish means pearl.

However, BabyCenter.com says Greta is Greek for child of light.

Either way, our Greta Grace is most definitely our

PEARL OF GRACE & OUR CHILD OF LIGHT.
