Pie Party!

The other night,
 Alex and I hosted a somewhat impromptu pie party.

We baked 6 different pies:
Apple, Cherry, Blueberry,
Peach-Raspberry, Blackberry, & Derby.

We munched on healthy snacks while making
and played the ever-so-hilarious Guesstures while baking.

Then, the best part, we enjoyed a taste of each!
My favorite was the peach-raspberry
but old fashion apple pie got the most votes.

Doozies

O.M.G.

These are fabu-licious
and super easy to make.

You must try!

All the credit for these delectable double-doozies
goes to my sister-in-law, Blair.
She had the family over last weekend for dinner
and to our surprise we had these lovely treats for dessert.

They are so easy to make & I just couldn't wait to make them myself!
I bought Nestle break-and-bake {mini} cookie dough
and a tub of vanilla icing.
Then, I baked the cookies according to the directions.
After they had cooled, I began icing.
And you're done-zo!

I am taking mine to a baby-shower tomorrow.
Thanks B for the great idea!!

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Treats

I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend.
Ours was delightful, filled with many reminders of God's grace.

Highlights included:
*A much needed Friday afternoon nap
*Celebrating two friends' birthdays
*Skyping with a friend in S. Korea {miss her lots}
*Seeing the Disney movie African Cats
*Serving in the nursery with my in-laws
{they are wonderful in every way}
* A wonderful run in the rain
*A church service that ROCKED MY FACE OFF
*And making these tasty treats:

CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH TREATS
{Rice Krispie treats without the Rice Krispies but Cinnamon Toast Crunch instead}

Melt the butter.

Throw in the marshmallows.

Stir in the Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Pour it into a baking dish and spread evenly.
Let cool as long as you can wait,
{which for us was less than an hour ;)}.

They are amazingly good.
Have a great Monday!
