Student Work: Self-Portraits

As I said in an earlier post,

I have gotten laaaazzzyyy about taking pictures!

Senioritis must be contagious.

here are just a few of my Art 1's self-portraits:

We always study the proportions of the face before starting our portraits.

I make a huge point of emphasizing that while the proportion "tricks"

help with accuracy in placement of facial features,

OBSERVATION

is the only way to create an accurate self-portrait.
