Missing Macklin

I am home and almost unpacked from my trip to Chicago.

The whole experience was amazing

but now I am in full-swing back-to-school mode,

and I'm already overwhelmed.

I think every teacher can relate to the anxiety 

the beginning of another school year brings.

I love my job, I swear I do, but the start of the school year 

is one of the things I dread the most.

Not knowing your students, them not knowing you, 

the planning, the paperwork, the meetings...

It can all be a little daunting.

I know soon enough I will be back in my routine and this anxiety will seem  rather foolish.

So, to ease my present  worries as I plan and prepare for 2012-2013,

I thought I would take a moment and reflect on these sweet photos of my baby nephew, Macklin.

AH! ... much better!
