Jamie Armstrong

I love all things vintage ...
... and ...
... I love all things glitter.
So, it is no wonder that I love Jamie Armstrong's
glitter collages on old photographs.

Ann Toebbe

I am obsessed with Chicago artist, Ann Toebbe.
She got her B.F.A. from Cleveland Institute of Art and
her M.F.A. from Yale School of Art.
{very impressive stuff right there!}

I love her collage-like paintings of interiors {and some exteriors} of homes.
I especially love the multiple perspectives in each piece
and the use of repetitive patterns.

Don't Look Back.

I am in love with these digital collages by Jason LaFerrera.
All are made from historic maps.
And I LOVE maps and so does the hubs.
In fact, on our wedding night I gave Alex a map of Utah as his wedding gift.
Sounds completely strange and lame -- but Utah is where we honeymooned,
and I knew of his love for maps.
I wanted to give him a vintage-looking map but couldn't find one.
I ended up getting him a high-relief map.
Its pretty stellar!

Hope you are having a fabulous Wednesday!
{Spring Break is almost here, I can taste it!}
