NYE

New Year's Eve can be such a stressful day.
There is so much pressure to wear the perfect outfit, complete with sequins,
and have the most amazing night of your life.

Luckily, I married a man who puts no pressure on any holiday
(or any person, like me, for which I am so thankful) to be perfect.

So, we stayed true to our colors, and kept New Year's Eve simple.

We started the night by picking up one of Alex's best dude friends, Julio.
Julio & his girlfriend, (my dear friend) Amanda, have the sweetest dog in the world, Zuko.
(The little Z is actually our god dog -- we take great pride in being his god parents!)

However, little Z-man did not get the memo that this New Year's Eve was low-key.
He showed up in his tux. (precious)
So, of course, we had to take several pictures of him.
Oh yes, and of Julio and him sipping wine together in front of the poinsettia.
(Zuko is so high class)

Then we headed to a wonderful potluck hosted by dear friends.
To avoid the crowds, when the potluck headed to the bar scene
Alex and I decided to head home to ring in the New Year together, just the two of us.
It was absolutely perfect.

Great food, better company, and being with my love at midnight.

Happy New Year!
