Even though this week I was not-so-gently reminded of this truth,

I am grateful.

I am grateful for the life of Johnathan Powell

and I know that he lived life to the fullest, not wasting a second.

One of the most powerful things said at his memorial service

was from the book of Psalms:

Be still, and know that I am God.

{Psalm 46:10}

With that sweet verse of scripture buried deep in my heart,

I have found comfort and peace.
