For this past unit, my two 3-D Art sections had to complete different projects.
Both sections were supposed to complete clay projects.
We had spent time researching and sketching clay sculptures for a week
before I made the awful discovery that led to a change in plans.
You see, we ordered our {what we thought was plenty of} clay two years ago
hoping we wouldn't have to haul the hundreds of pounds of clay it took to teach our classes annually.
Two summers ago, my fellow art teacher traveled to Indianapolis to pick up a massive amount of clay.
After using some last year, we assumed we had plenty of clay to carry us through this year.
Unfortunately, we were wrong.
Upon this discovery, my second section of 3-D Art
adjusted to our lack of supplies by creating paper mache sculptures.
I am very proud of them for how they handled this setback and
really do love their projects.
I am getting kind of lazy about taking pictures,
