Inspired by these lovely but expensive glitter flats,

I mustered up the courage to attempt to make my own,

for less than $20.oo.

Materials:

16 oz. bottle of Mod Podge Gloss

4 0z. bottle of glitter, color of your choice

Ballet Flats (I found mine at Target for $9.99)

Sponge Brush

Instructions:

1. Mix glitter with Mod Podge.

Make sure to use LOTS of glitter.

2. Coat the shoe with glitter/Mod Podge mixture.

3. Let dry completely, I waited several hours in between coats.

(They look really funky when wet, but the Mod Podge dries clear.)

4. Repeat until satisfied with coverage.

Mine have 4 layers.

Once they dried completely, I added a gold ribbon around the top.
